This year we had the hottest month of August for the past 40 years in the province of Alicante, the average temperature reached 27.5 º, 2 º more than usual.
Looking at what happened in Valencia, we see that Valencia has been a very warm month of August with an average temperature of 26 degrees which was the highest in the last 42 years. The average temperature in August exceeded the normal average 2.3 º registry covering the period 1971 to 2000.
The cause to which to attribute these high temperatures can be found in the intense heatwave suffered between 9 and 11 August and suffered between 18 and 25 August.
